A match of youth and speed versus experience and weight saw the Buccaneers to a comfortable victory.
James Moorby playing on the wing scored a first half hat-trick on his debut and like all the team despite playing against bigger men also brought off some excellent tackles. Doncaster had a string of penalties in the first 20 enabling to apply pressure but twice the defence turned them over inside the 22 and ran from deep releasing James Moorby for two tries in the first 8 minutes. Doncaster pressure finally gained rewards with their forwards crashing over for a converted try but pace out wide saw the Buccaneers attack again ending with a penalty by Charlie Kirk who converted 5 of the 6 tries. Then final 5 minutes of the half saw centre James Leitch ran from deep to score then Moorby in for his third on the wing. The second half saw Doncaster reorganise to tighten their defence and make for a tighter game but the Buccaneers soon struck again through a converted try by Dan Pinder. Doncaster's pack drove over again on the hour but five minutes time the Buccaneers struck again with Harry Cawood racing in after good team support play.
