I am pleased to announce the much-awaited new Registration process is now ‘live’ giving you an easier way to register as a Member, Player or Parent of a Player here at Hull Ionians RUFC.
The new system allows you to register, affiliate and pay for your new membership by clicking on the Clubs website https://www.hullionians.co.uk/ and pressing the GMS link at the top of the screen. Please do not click the ‘Join’ button as this is misleading and allows you to become a member of the website and NOT the Club.

By clicking the GMS button, this will take you directly through to the Clubs Game Management System via the RFU website allowing you to register if you are new to the Club, affiliate as a player and buy a new membership or renew an existing membership.
I have attached some guides to this email to help with the new process for those that may need them.
All existing members will already have an existing account with GMS. If you need help with your registered email address or Username for GMS, please email myself sarah@brantinghampark.com and I can forward these to you. Please can I ask that you DO NOT register a new account as the RFU penalises the Club for duplicate members.

At this point, please can I ask you to check all information held on GMS is complete and up to date.

For those existing members that already have a Standing Order in place this can continue for the new 2023/2024 season, and I will register you using the previous registration process for ease, however this standing order must be cancelled by end of June 2024 – the new registration process can be followed for the following season. This includes standing orders paid annually and monthly.

Please can I ask all Senior Players to cancel their Standing Orders with immediate effect. Any monies paid from 1st July 2023 for the new season will be refunded back to you and I ask you to register using the new system where your new fees will apply.

NEW PLAYERS AND MEMBERS

Parents of all new players will need to register themselves firstly, then add your child/children as a ‘relationship’. This applies to all player under 18 years of age. There is a new option for all players aged 13+ where with the authority of parents been given first, any player can then look after their own information and membership. Though as the Club Registrar, I would ask this option only to be given to those children where parents do not have access to the internet only, we by way of preventing errors being made by our young players having free reign for their own memberships.

BUYING MEMBERSHIPS

Once your account is activated and email verified you have the option to affiliate yourself. Please do not affiliate yourself as a parent or as a Non-playing Rugby Member. Only Players (Seniors and Mini Junior Players) should be affiliated. If you are unsure, please contact myself and I can complete the affiliation for you.

The next stage is to Buy Membership. Please carefully select the correct membership. We have streamlined the Membership Options this year with a view of making it easier and less complicated for you. Depending on the memberships you chose, this will dictate the price. For those few that usually have a Dispensation applied or are given a complimentary Membership you will need to contact myself directly and I will arrange this for you.

Once you have selected your membership, you have a choice to pay by card or set up a Direct Debit. The card payment option will enable your Registration to be completed quicker. If a Direct Debit option is selected, there will be a delay until the Direct Debit is taken (usually 1st of each month) and cleared from your bank account. Only then can your registration be completed. Please note, with the exception of Vice President and Full Non-Playing Rugby Members, full fees are due at the time of registering. Only those joining the Club after January will be given a reduced membership fee.

GDPR

Please visit the Clubs website for our Privacy Notice regarding GDPR. However, to keep our GDPR consents up to date, I ask you to complete an electronic GDPR Consent form with your consents. This enables the Club to comply with guidelines for GDPR. This electronic consent forms part of the registration process; therefore is mandatory.
