This Movember, the Hull Ionians family are coming together to raise awareness and funds for a cause very close to our hearts.

In July 2025, our teammate George Mewburn’s nephew, Charlie, was diagnosed with POLG mitochondrial disorder — a rare and degenerative disease with no cure and no effective treatments. Charlie and his family have shown incredible courage, and we want to show ours too.

So this November, the lads are growing their ’Mo’s for Charlie — to spark conversations, raise awareness, and raise money to support The Noah Jordan Foundation and vital research into POLG disorders.

Every penny raised will go towards giving families like Charlie’s hope for the future.
