Cameron Burnhill is the next player off the rank to hit the 50 cap mark. Now in his fifth season at the club, Cam has had a chequered playing career thus far. Injury has prevented him from achieving both this milestone and his potential much sooner.
He managed 12 games in the 21/22 season and one fewer the following term. The 23/24 season was written off completely, but he came back in 2024 and had a stelar campaign. He made the full-back berth his own and scored 9 tries in 21 outings with 4 man of the match performances.
This season he has bagged 4 scores in 6 matches; he is the natural successor to Lewis Minikin, if you’re looking for a silky-smooth mover. Let’s hope he can stay injury free and keep running them in.
