Mal is no stranger to the members and players, having first arrived at the Club in August 2022, when invited by Head Coach Graham Steadman to assist with the backs coaching. Mal has now been with us for the past 3 seasons but had previously had to arrange his time with us around his professional commitments as a player with Doncaster Knights in the Championship, the 2nd tier of English Rugby. Mal has now left Doncaster Knights and, moving forward, is fully committed to Hull Ionians RUFC
As a player Mal has a vast playing experience of Championship level rugby having previously played for Doncaster, Cornish Pirates, Bristol Bears and Hartpury RFC.
Also, at Age Group level, Mal played for Hartpury College, Gloucester Academy and represented the Netherlands at U17, U18 & U19’s.
