Last weekend, the Hull Ionians Colts received their new kit for the 2026/2027 season, with the full kit sponsored by Cave Castle Hotel & Country Club.
A special thank you to our Head Coach, Steve Hogarth, for arranging the sponsorship and making this possible for the Colts. The Cave Castle name is proudly displayed on the lads’ shorts, providing fantastic support for the team this season.
The new kit was certainly brought out in style, with the Colts securing an impressive 47–17 league victory against Market Rasen. It was a great game and another encouraging performance from the squad.
Leigh Savage took the opportunity to rearrange the team and give some of the lads the chance to experience different positions on the pitch. It was a valuable opportunity to see what they can achieve in different roles and to give the coaching team more insight into the strengths and potential within the squad.
Now the focus turns back to training, with preparations underway for another home league fixture against Sandal this Sunday, 11th October.
The lads are showing what they are capable of and are becoming stronger by the week. This is a great example of what bringing two age groups together to create our 2026/2027 Colts squad can achieve.
The ambition is clear — raise aspirations, develop the players, build a strong team and take Hull Ionians Colts to the next level.
