Our girls are a welcoming, inclusive, fun-loving girls rugby section for girls of all ages. There are four teams, U12’s, U14’s, U16’s and U18’s. Girls who are 10 and under will play alongside the boys if they are happy to do so, and we have a fantastic ladies team for over 18’s.

No experience is needed, you do not even need to have touched a rugby ball before or know the rules, we will teach you it all! Rugby is for all, from girls who are already involved in sport to those who fancy giving something a go for the first time. The main focus is fun, friendship and team spirit.

Hull Ionians girls have been very successful, we have girls who have represented Yorkshire County, Yorkshire Professional Development Group and girls who have represented their country. Two players have played for England at U18 & U19 who are now at University playing super Bucs rugby and training with premiership teams, and a player who has represented Scotland at U18. Many of our girls move on to competitive university rugby but for those staying closer to home, we have a ladies team waiting to welcome you.
