I write to advise the Membership that our Director of Rugby, Martyn Wood, has accepted the position of Director of Rugby with Yorkshire Carnegie for their forthcoming Season in the Championship and has now left Hull Ionians RUFC.

Martyn has been at Hull Ionians for just over 3 years, been Director of Rugby for the last 2 Seasons and on a much reduced rugby budget and a small playing squad last Season guided the Club back into National One. We are very grateful to Martyn for his considerable contribution to rugby at Brantingham Park.

Whilst we are naturally very disappointed to see Martyn leave the Club, we should take some satisfaction that Yorkshire Carnegie in their hour of need and facing a very difficult Season in the Championship believe that our Director of Rugby is the right person to lead them forwards.

On behalf of everybody at Brantingham Park I would like to wish Woody every success and good luck in his new role.
