Ex Hull Ionian, Andy Hallas is on a mission to raise money and awareness for MND which is a great cause close to the hearts of many people at the club and the county due to rugby league legends Rob Burrow and Sir Kevin Sinfield!

We would really like to get behind Andy on his journey so dig deep if you can to help a great man doing fantastic things to raise funds and awareness for a truly awful disease!

Andy's words on his challenge.

I've been inspired to undertake this challenge by the incredible fund raising of Sir Kevin Sinfield for Motor Neurone Disease, seeing the impact the disease had on Doddle and Rob Burrow who were absolute legends of rugby was horrible. I also dedicate this walk to Simon Smith (Ex Hull Ionian Captain) who passed away in 2007 due to MND. We need to do more to prevent this continuing to destroy lives of sufferers, families and carers!

I'm walking 100 kilometres (62 miles) in under 24 hours with a group of friends. We aim to raise £100,000 for this mighty challenge and aim to raise more than that in awareness for MND.

We start the walk at Headingley stadium, home of the Leeds Rhinos, September 15th. From there we start the long walk to the MKM stadium, the home of Hull FC.
